Data Minimization

OopsMyPassword is designed to minimize sensitive data handling. Security tools are implemented for local decision support wherever practical, and we avoid account-based credential storage.

We do not request unnecessary personal identifiers for routine use of public educational content.

Local Processing and Tool Inputs

Password and passphrase analysis is intended for local browser execution. Users should avoid pasting live credentials into shared systems or untrusted devices.

Export features are user-initiated and remain under user control. We recommend storing exported operational notes in a trusted environment.

Analytics Boundaries

We may collect aggregate usage telemetry for reliability and product quality analysis. Telemetry is limited to non-sensitive behavioral signals such as route usage and feature interactions.

No analytics event should include raw passwords or equivalent credential material.

Third-Party Services

Hosting and analytics infrastructure may rely on third-party providers. Those providers process technical request metadata under their own policy obligations.

Where ads are shown on allowed routes, third-party ad services may set or read cookies according to publisher and regional policy requirements.

User Responsibilities

Users should validate device integrity, keep software updated, and enable MFA on high-impact accounts. Site guidance is educational and does not replace formal incident response obligations.

Policy Updates

Material privacy changes are reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Significant workflow-impacting updates may also be reflected in editorial change logs.
